The Timbers are quickly gaining a reputation for their lively and
passionate shows. In their short time together, they have quickly
spawned a loyal and enthusiastic following. If you can imagine The
Pogues, Mumford and Son’s, and The Mountain Goats writing songs
together, then you might know what to expect at one of their shows.
Their positive energy is contagious due to the fact that each member is
exceptionally talented and unique.
Consisting of Simon Basey
(vocals, guitar & foot controlled bass pedals), Benjamin Roberts
(lead guitar, vocals, foot percussion & tin whistle), Sarah O'Brien
(violin) and Craig Atkins (cajon, djembe, snare, stomp), this band is
fast becoming Adelaide’s next exciting must see live music experience.
The
band has headlined shows at the Wheatsheaf Hotel, The Grace Emily
Hotel, Metropolitan Hotel, and at Higher Ground. They have
performed with acts such as Emily Davis, Fallen Sunrise, Simon Peter and Todd Sibbin. The Timbers have a very busy summer ahead with spots
in the Summer Cherry Festival, Adelaide Fringe Festival, and Crush
Festival.
The Timbers are scheduled to enter the studio in late
2009 for a debut recording as a follow up to their previously released
CD 'Chase the Sun' under their former name 'Room 4.09'
