discovered Jayne’s song writing ability when it was first formally
acknowledged in October 2009. She topped several local singer/song
writers to win the Mental Heath Week “Hear Me” song writing competition with Mulberry Lane. The award began Jayne’s playing across Adelaide,
uncovering an artist who’s uncannily well crafted songs, inspire an
intimate awe, with a voice you wont forget for the rest of your
gig-going days.
She has discovered a subtle mix of indie and
folk, in such an appealing and approachable form that it lingers in the
mind, penetrating and playing with the worlds of powerful young love,
hard felt belongings and temporary nature of conclusion as a young
teen..
In November 2009, Jayne collaborated with Adelaide
musician Brody Green in the recording of her first release 'One More
Day', a pop take on some of her first written originals. The demo was
first released here at Higher Ground in December and astoundingly sold
over 50 copies to a first time audience of immediate strangers.
So,
already forging a strong presence in Adelaide, set for recording, gigs
approaching, this gorgeous prodigy has everything going for her and
will be one to watch in 2010 as her limitless potential unfolds.
